The Mavericks went unbeaten in pool play over Memorial Day
weekend before surrendering 7-6 to a gigantic Oswego team in the tournament semi-finals. After battling back from a
4-1 deficit to lead 6-4, a handful of well-placed softly hit balls did the Mavericks in. Great hitting by Ryan Kelly
and Jack Cloud and solid starting pitching by Cloud, Alex Amboian, Devin Boehm, and stellar relief work by Grant Stern and
Andrew kirby set that tone for the weekend while the defense was spectacular comitting just 4 errors in the entire tournament!
Great job Mavericks!!!
On Deck... Friday DH 530 & 730PM Saturday 3PM This summer we will have indoor hitting on Wednesday evenings from 7PM-8PMWe will also practice on weekdays on Tuesdays
&/or Thursday evenings 630-730 We will make every effort to keep practices short, productive and energetic The boys will be participating in
their HS summer school programs and be outdoors every day (quite frankly, the HS summer school is painfully boring) and we
don't want to create lazy players.
